Digital Engineering for Precision Grinding Leaders: The Okamoto Europe Project
When you work with a client whose benchmark is absolute precision, your digital product has to operate at the same frequency. Okamoto Europe is a global synonym for high-end grinding machines, and our mission was to translate that engineering excellence into a modern, fast, and highly functional web experience.
The Challenge: Architecting Complex Data
The core challenge was transforming a vast catalog of industrial machines into a structured, intuitive system equally valuable to field engineers and sales representatives.
What We Built “Under the Hood”
- Custom Machine Ecosystem: We developed a fully tailored machine management system (Custom Post Type) with a deep hierarchy of categories and subcategories. Each machine is connected through structured tags for efficient filtering and advanced search.
- Dynamic Technical Specifications: We created complex repeater-based specification tables that allow users to switch between different machine models via dropdown selection and instantly view accurate technical data in real time.
- Smart URL Architecture: For SEO performance and seamless user experience, we implemented a clean and logical structure: /machines/{category}/{machine}/ Complete pagination optimization ensured smooth navigation across large data sets.
- The website is fully multilingual, with a customized search engine that accurately returns machine results regardless of the language used by the visitor.
Location Management
Custom Locations Plugin - We developed a custom solution that enables the client to:
- Easily import and export all partner locations via CSV.
- Display an interactive Leaflet / OpenStreetMap map using a shortcode.
- Apply advanced filtering to the partner directory — allowing users to find the nearest distributor within seconds.
