We carried out the visual identity project for the German Red Cross Resilience Center of the Rems-Murr region in collaboration with Bebop Media. The project included comprehensive design work – from the logo and decorative visuals to social media templates.

I. Logo Design

We created a visual identity that combines the local character, humanitarian mission, and the values of resilience, unity, and safety. The logo consists of a series of symbols that together form a recognizable whole and visually convey the center’s mission.

The outline of the Rems-Murr region emphasizes geographical rootedness and regional focus, while the red cross represents the central, internationally recognized symbol of the German Red Cross. The sun symbolizes energy, vitality, and proactive preparation for climate challenges such as heat waves, while the waves refer to the Rems and Murr rivers and signify adaptability in facing floods and changes. The flame represents risks such as fires and power outages, but also the inner strength and resilience of the community, while the shield traditionally stands for protection and safety.

In combination with the other symbols, it emphasizes the core mission of the center – protection, education, and resilience. The chosen typography is modern and legible, expressing stability and strength, while adapting equally well to both digital and print media. The overall design reflects the center’s mission: strengthening community resilience through education, preparedness, and solidarity.

II. Design of the Brand Motif

We designed a decorative visual that conveys the core values of the center – unity, energy, dedication, and freedom – through typography and the symbolism of letters. Each letter carries its own symbol and meaning, turning the text itself into a powerful visual element of communication.

In the upper part of the letter “M,” two human figures with raised arms symbolize team spirit, unity, and solidarity. The letter “I” is replaced with a lightning bolt – a universal symbol of strength, dynamism, and driving energy – emphasizing vitality and movement.

Inside the letter “B,” there is a heart and a hand – the heart represents care, compassion, and dedication, while the hand stands for help, support, and selfless engagement. The letter “R” incorporates a stylized bird motif symbolizing freedom, peace, and space for growth and development.

The typography combines the strength of geometry with the warmth of rounded forms. The text becomes an image, and the letters act as communicative symbols that together create a distinctive visual personality of the design.

III. Design of Social Media Templates

We also developed a visual template for social media posts, tailored to the center’s diverse content needs. The template was designed to ensure a consistent visual identity in online communication, with a clear and professional look that conveys the values of unity, resilience, and humanity.

The concept includes a three-slide post and a reel in which these slides are dynamically alternated through animation. In this way, static content gains an additional dimension of movement and engagement, increasing the visibility and appeal of the posts.
